SYNOPSIS
This class will teach actors how to improve their timing and pace when voicing commercials, by adding your voice to commercials with picture and sound mixes.
The instructor will explain the purpose, goals and approach of this voiceover training.
Actors will be given the commercial scripts that accompany the video of commercials used in the training.
The instructor will show actors a complete commercial with sound (music, sfx, voiceover) and picture.
The instructor will then show actors the same commercial that has sound and picture, but no voiceover. Also referred to as a “mix minus”
Actors will step into the recording booth and record multiple takes of the script, while receiving feedback and direction from the instructor.
Actors improve their timing and performance with each take.
REQUIREMENTS
Know the cancellation deadline (see above).
Scripts will be distributed in class and provided by the Voiceover Lab.
Small group format with a maximum of 14 actors participating.
This class is in person and at the new Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab in Los Angeles inside the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists:

Note: The new Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab is not on the Mezzanine Level, it is on the Penthouse (PH) Level. No need to wait downstairs, just go straight to the PH level when you arrive.
