This class will include a Q&A with LA based Casting Director Anna Rocio Mendoza, followed by a prepared work session.
Participating actors will prepare a scene assigned by the Casting Director several days before the class.

BIO
Born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Anna Rocio Mendoza has always been deeply passionate about the entertainment industry. Growing up immersed in telenovelas and Spanish-language programming, she developed an early interest in television production. Initially aspiring to a career at Univision, her path took a pivotal turn when she landed an internship that introduced her to the world of casting under the mentorship of industry icon Mary Jo Slater.
Over the years, Anna has collaborated on a variety of projects, working alongside esteemed casting directors such as G. Charles Wright, Rachel Tenner, Marisol Roncali, and Chelsea Ellis Bloch. She is currently part of the team at Carla Hool Casting, where she continues to make meaningful contributions to the field.
As a proud Chicana from a family of farmworkers, Anna is deeply committed to advocating for authentic representation in film and television. Her unique background and firsthand understanding of underrepresented communities fuel her passion for fostering diversity and inclusion in casting. With a keen eye for talent and a dedication to meaningful storytelling, she strives to bring fresh, diverse voices to the forefront of the entertainment industry.
