*****THIS CLASS IS NOW OPEN FOR AUDIT SEATS*** PLEASE ADD YOU NAME TO THE WAITLIST. ALL NAMES ON THE WAITLIST WILL BE CONSIDERED AUDITORS******

Synopsis

Leaning toward voicing non-fiction audiobooks because "they're easier", but are concerned about potentially deadly boring content and no dialogue? You might be surprised at how challenging (yet satisfying) non-fiction can be, and how similar the demands are to fiction titles.

Join proud SAG-AFTRA member, actor and storytelling coach David H. Lawrence XVII for an audiobook workshop that will explore techniques for producing an engaging, authentic and undeniably enjoyable non-fiction audiobook read. This session will consist of a brief presentation, followed by a live demonstration from a handful of readers. Copy will be provided by the instructor. Each reader (see note below)  will have the opportunity to receive detailed individual feedback on their work. Every participant will have the opportunity to listen and learn from an industry powerhouse!

NOTE ABOUT AUDITORS AND READERS : This class will have a very limited number of readers. Readers will be chosen on a first come first serve basis. Once the readers list is full the class will be marked as FULL. If you wish to AUDIT  (i.e. listen and watch  without the opportunity to read), please add your name to the waitlist. All members on the waitlist will be considered seated as auditors. If you do not wish to attend as an auditor, you have until midnight the night before the class to cancel yourself online without receiving a no-show.

Format

This session will consist of a brief presentation, followed by a live demonstration from a handful of pre-selected readers. Copy will be provided by the instructor.
